Hi John,
I would like to thank You and your Dad for running Edgewood Game Farm the way a game-farm should be run. It is obvious from the cover, that field maintenance is more than a priority, it is a passion. I also enjoy the variety of fields, which lends to a more natural hunting experience. I hunt because I enjoy it and to keep my dog happy, she truly loves to hunt. This year before the season started she tore a ligament in her knee and required surgery just as the season was starting. In late December she was ready to get out and hunt. I needed to start her on a small field, and work her slow. Once again you came through with the perfect field, just as you did a couple of years ago when I needed a short cover field to work her on a check cord. Recently your Dad helped me reinforce gun safety to my 13 year old son after our hunt, for which I am truly grateful. Small details like these add up to a tremendous hunting experience for novice to veteran hunters. Hunters at Edgewood appreciate the "low key," pressures-of-the-world-be-gone atmosphere, a place to relax with family and friends and build lasting bonds with a dog.
Sincerely,
Pete Hammill and "Muddy"

Edgewood Game Farm goes out of there way to accommodate there members and make the experience the best that it can be. The birds are excellent in quality and the fields and meticulously cared for with varying terrain to suit different hunting preferences. Because of the excellent cover the birds have at Edgewood the fields have plenty of birds in them. The way the fields are laid out, even when there are other groups hunting, you rarely see anyone else and you ?feel? like you have the whole place to yourself. Whether you are a single person going out for an afternoon for a couple of birds or a large hunting group the staff at Edgewood WILL work to make the hunt first rate and a memorable experience. Always friendly, you never feel rushed or pressured, just a great place to spend some time and forget about the ?real world? for a little while.

I quit hunting fifteen years ago. I was tired of hunting in the pumpkin patches, a.k.a. public hunting lands, wondering if I'd even see a bird let alone get a shot off. Somehow they didn't live up to the images in my mind's eye created by reading one too many issues of Outdoor Life as a child. I had slogged through more than my share of tag alder and could only dream of bird hunting with dry feet. I'd had enough.
I'm hunting again. In fact this is my second season as a member of Edgewood Game farm. Imagine those picture perfect flushes and raising your gun with adrenaline charged arms. Beautiful roosters, swift hens, and deceivingly fast huns and chukars challenge your shooting skills. The terrain is as varied and challenging as the birds and includes every type of cover imaginable, except tag alder. All this and dry feet too!
I have not only renewed my love of hunting, but also added an additional component I'd always dreamed of. I now have a hunting companion, by the name of Mojo, who loves the fields as much as I do. I found Edgewood not only a wonderful place to hunt, but train as well. Mojo and I have spent many a weekend alone in a field to concentrate on learning the ABC's of bird hunting. I can honestly say that I now enjoy watching my dog hunt as much or more than connecting with a flushed bird.
I highly recommend taking advantage of the clays course at Edgewood. This has increased my shooting skills several times over. My wife and I participated in a clinic offered through Edgewood and now both enjoy this sport as well.
My advice is to go and experience Edgewood. You will not be disappointed. Instead, I believe you will rekindle old loves and see the new possibilities. It is truly a place I can enjoy myself or with my family. Hospitality is synonymous with Edgewood, and if you're like me your only complaint will be that the visit was too short. You have my word on it.
Sincerely,

To me, Edgewood Game Farms has become more simply “ The Farm” or “ John’s Place”. It has fast become the place I go to when I need to move away from things for awhile. I’ve met the families involved with this hunting enterprise. They are people with values that translate into a quality hunting experience. When you decide you need to move away from today’s way of doing things and into a simpler time to do a little bird hunting, try John’s Place. (Edgewood Game Farms)
P.S. Even bad coffee tastes better at Edgewood!
